Michael Connelly

Michael Connelly is an American crime writer and former journalist. He is the author of more than 30 novels, including the Harry Bosch series and the Lincoln Lawyer series. His books have been translated into more than 40 languages and have sold more than 80 million copies worldwide.

Connelly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He attended the University of Florida, where he studied journalism. After graduating, he worked as a reporter for the Fort Lauderdale News and the Los Angeles Times.

In 1992, Connelly published his first novel, The Black Echo. The novel introduced Harry Bosch, a Los Angeles Police Department detective who would become Connelly's most famous character. The Black Echo was a critical and commercial success, and it won the Edgar Award for Best First Novel.

Since then, Connelly has written more than 20 Harry Bosch novels. In addition, he has written several other crime novels, including the Lincoln Lawyer series and the Mickey Haller series.
