She allied herself with Julius Caesar, who became her lover and the father of her son, Caesarion. Cleopatra also allied herself with Mark Antony, who became her second lover and the father of her twins, Cleopatra Selene II and Alexander Helios.

Death
Cleopatra's reign came to an end in 30 BC, when Egypt was conquered by the Roman Empire. Cleopatra and Mark Antony committed suicide rather than be taken prisoner. Cleopatra was 39 years old at the time of her death.
